Tree Face

Watcher Of The Woods

I came a cross this tree just before I entered the woodlands of the old hall. It's as if this tree keeps a watch on the wood and who or what is entering and leaving. When I met up with Tom who took another pathway we swapped camera's and looked at what each had taken... Tom as got The Old Lady of the woods coming up soon. There was not much wildlife about the woods, what birds were about stayed in the tree tops. Both of us however got nice shots of moss, trees and fungi. More of this walk tomorrow.

Yes it does look like a profile of a man keeping watch. By the way, if you went to see our sons drawing of his greyhounds, their names were from top to bottom, Jim, Spike and Rocket.

Wow, what a discovery. I am sure movie directors would like to know where the exact location of this amazing tree with a human like face. It make a good background for films like Lord of the Rings, my favourite movie. :)

I see the face. Isn't it amazing what is out there if we just slow down and look.
