King Fisher & Rubbish

This bird is next to a dye factory and within yards from a Motorway. The area is full of wind blown litter from Hyde town centre yet this small stream must hold enough life to keep this beauty in food. I think this picture shows the balance of survival for this bird and the stream.. it must surely be on the edge.

Your Kingfisher is a striking colour. It is different than the darker blue of the North American Kingfisher.

What we call "kingfisher's" here do not look like this at all.
