I don't know how much I would pay to get a photograph in my camera of that colorful duck. Lordy what a beauty he is. And the parading geese remind me of the World War II saying about "goose stepping."

Nice photography, Peter.

Pete: These are all very nice photos but that Mandarin Duck picture is certainly beautiful.

I had never before seen even a photo of a Mandarin Duck, much less a pair. I "googled" them and learned through Wikipedia that although there are a reported 1,000 nesting pairs in the U.K., they are not a legally protected species since they are not native. I do hope that common sense and reverence for living creatures will provide enough protection for them to prosper. Or, that they have the instinct to hide, exposing themselves only to a photographer such as yourself.
Thanks for the photos!

Sorry for not visiting lately. Oh I love the photos of the mandarin ducks. They have such beautiful colourful feathers. Dont get to see them here.

What a beautiful duck the one you call the Mandarin. Apparently we don't have anything like that around here. Also like the two geese stepping it off like they are in a hurry to arrive for something. Very nice photos.
