This must have been what our local canals looked like at one time. They are no longer her but were torn out or filled in and never put back into service. I think they didn't know they had a good thing and got rid of it just like they did all of the railroads.

Glad to see you still have your canals and they look like they could be used tomorrow.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, Peter.

I get so much enjoyment from your photos Peter. You're a natural and I'd love to have you a student. Good photography tells a story with visual elements. It's also the photographer's way of communicating what they see (we all see differently) and want they want the viewer to concentrate on. We do this with composition, view, perspective, exposure, and different types/colors/characteristics of light.

Anyhow, your photos and Toms do tell wonderful stories about your countryside, what's important to you, and what you see with each walk.
