These pictures are taken on top on 'Win Hill' in the Peak District of Derbyshire. The water below is part of Derwent Valley..this valley was used by the '617 “Dambusters” Squadron' to practice the low flying and approach to the dams before the bouncing bonbs would be dropped in the Rhine Vally.

Those pictures of the Derwent Valley where the dambusters dropped the practice bombs is something I knew about. I wasn't there but did see this practice on television as well as the real thing in the Rhine Valley or the destruction. I don't remember the details now but I saw them practice. It is a small world and there you were, Peter, walking around taking pictures. I wonder if that would have worked back then when the practice was going on? I doubt it.
