Cormorants are fish eaters residing along our shores, but over the last few years seem to be coming inland to feed. This one seems to have been feeding on spawning frogs in this pond normally the haunt of Heron. These swim under the water to catch the fish, but seem happy enough to copy the Herons way of feeding.

These must be very large birds. I had not seen them before today.
Great bird pictures. I like the flying shot a lot!
abe - fishermen here are not too keen on them :(
