This little fledged Robin was within touching distance at times, it showed no fear at all when I moved around to get a different shot.
I only saw the one but was sure I heard another calling nearby, the parent birds will still be feeding them at the moment so after I took these I walked back the way I came so as not to cause the parents anymore alarm.
Not a sign of the Robins Red Breast at this early stage, speckled browns to help it hide unnoticed in the undergrowth, but it sure stood out some it front of these new leaves.

Very special photographs. I like them and ask myself how large these birds are but guess they must be about the size of a sparrow.
Our Robins are a little larger than a fat starling and the young are spotted like your robin young are spotted. There are several running around here with mom and pop tagging along find worms and things to feed them. I think there is one or two young.
I spent most of the day, this US Memorial Day, taking photos of a parent Grackle feeding its fledgling youngster. I got some good pictures. But they are so large that I will have to just concentrate on their wide open mouth. More or less.
The baby has a backward set of teeth down the middle of its upper plate or beak. I guess that is to keep the stuff from crawling back out.
I was able to photograph these (I call them teeth) in baby robins two years aqo and was surprised but then they eat a lot of worms and I would expect it in them.

Excellent! I have yet to see any baby birds around my parts yet this spring but I'm sure they will be everywhere soon. A robin is nesting in my crab apple tree and get all excited every time I go near my shed. She hops out on the end of a limb chirping up a storm. I haven't disturbed her by looking for her nest. Last year one built in my lilac, I trimmed a hole back to her nest to photograph it and she abandoned it so I won't be doing that again.
