Tree of a kind

This tree belongs to a Snow Fairy who lives in between the twisted branches... how do I know this you may be asking... well a little bird told me.

This Lichen as really got an hold of this branch, covering the bark with all this weird growth. I have to admit for finding great beauty in this.

This old Silver Birch tree is the perfect host for Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, I showed this to Tom who took one look and said... "It's a Sheep's Head", and he thought it was just me that saw weird stuff.

Peter: Very unusual grouping of tree pictures and all are lovely. I really like the Lichen picture with the green showing up so well.
What's a Sheep's Head? We have a fish in Lake Erie called a sheephead.

Peter: Tom told me to take another look at the sheep's head tree, so I did. I now see a horse's head. The woodpecker hole through the face had messed up my view. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
